| You
can find your tools for making
tables in the text editor at
the top right hand side of your
screen.
Don't
worry, you do not have to memorize
their uses. When you mouse over
each tool, it will tell you
what it does.
We
are going to start by inserting
a table into a blank screen
in the text editor..
1.
Place your cursor where you
want to insert the table.
2. Click on the Insert Table

In the pop-up dialog box that
appears, just select the appropriate
values for various parameters
that would define the Table
that you want to create.
The various parameters available
in the dialog box that would
help you define your table are:
Number of Rows, Number of Columns,
Width of the Table, Table Alignment
(Left, Right or Center), Cell
Spacing, Cell Padding, Border
Size, Border Color, Background
Color and Vertical Alignment
of Text (Top, Middle or Bottom).
Note:
If you are using MOZILLA or
NETSCAPE browsers, you can only
enter the number of rows and
columns in the pop-up dialog
box. |

INSERT ROW - If you have already
built your table, but later decide
you need to add a row:
1.
Click where you want to insert
a new Row.
2 .Click the icon on the toolbar
to insert a new Row.

DELETE A ROW 1.
Click inside the Row that you
want to Delete.
2. Click the icon on the toolbar
to delete the Row.

DELETE A COLUMN
1.
Click inside the Column that
you want to Delete.
2. Click the icon on the toolbar
to delete the Column.

MERGE CELLS
1. Click in the first cells
of the cells in a Row that you
want to merge.
2 .Click the icon on the toolbar.

In the pop-up dialog box that
appears, type in the number
of adjacent cells that you want
to merge.
Click Ok to merge
cells.
Note:
This feature is not currently
supported on Mozilla.

SPLIT CELLS 1.
Click in the particular cell
that you want to split into
two.
2. Click the icon on the toolbar
to split the cell into two.

| TABLE
PROPERTIES 1.
Click inside the Table which
you want to change the Table
Properties for.
2. Click the icon on the toolbar.

3. In the pop-up dialog box
that appears, just modify the
appropriate values for the various
Table properties and parameters
that would redefine the Table
that you want.
4. The various Table Properties
that you can modify in the dialog
box are:
Width of the Table, Table Alignment
(Left, Right or Center), Cell
Spacing, Cell Padding, Border
Size, Border Color

CHANGE COLUMN WIDTH
1.
Click the
icon that you want to change
increase or decrease the Column
width for.
2. In the pop-up dialog box
that appears, increase or decrease
the value for the Column Width.

CHANGE ROW HEIGHT
1.
Click the
icon that you want to increase
or decrease the Row Height for.
2. In the pop-up dialog box
that appears, increase or decrease
the value for the Row Height.

BORDER SIZE 1.
Click the
icon
2. In the pop-up dialog box
that appears, increase or decrease
the value for the Border Size.

CHANGE CELL BACKGROUND COLOR
1.
Click the
icon that you want to change
the Background Color for.
2. In the pop-up dialog box
that appears, select the particular
color of your choice and click
OK to apply that
background color for the cell.

CHANGE BORDER COLOR
1.
Click the
icon.

color of your choice and click
