Pay
Per Click Advertising
So how do you attract visitors to your site? Not just
any visitors, but visitors who are looking for your
product, in the area that you market?
- The best quality web site traffic originates from
search engines. Consumers no longer rely on the yellow
pages or newspaper ads to find the products they are
looking for. They search for it on the web. They "Google"
it.
- Consumers have become more sophisticated. They research
and price products on the net before they buy. In
fact there are probably consumers looking every day
for exactly what you are selling.
So how do we get these search engine shoppers
connected to your website?
Many people mistakenly believe that just because they've
built a website, it will automatically appear on the
search engines when someone does a search for their
kind of product or service". The truth is your
site may or may not appear in the search results even
with optimization.
For example searching for "Houston real estate"
on Google will give you 71,300,000 web sites to choose
from. I'm sure your site is in there somewhere but who
is going to scroll through 71,300,000 listings to find
it?
So how can you move your site to the top?
First let's define organic and sponsored listings.
These listings are called "organic" listings
and the search engines determine what keywords to list
your site under. To obtain organic listings, your site
must be optimized, be seasoned (be around for a while
and have some traffic), have backlinks and several other
key factors that take TIME... Organic listings do not
happen overnight.

Fortunately, there IS another way for you to appear
at the top of the search results on virtually any keyword
or search that you choose. It's called pay per click
advertising. Companies or organizations actually
"bid for position" on the search engines under
the search results they want to be listed under. Pay
per click advertising campaigns are available through
Google, MSN, Yahoo, AOL, and dozens of other search
engines. Client's ads appear at the top of the search
engine results they choose. These ads are known as “sponsored
listings”.

One of the best reasons to use PPC ads is that it's
focused traffic. Focused traffic is demographically
correct traffic: visitors who are looking for what you
sell, in the location you sell it. You can choose where
and when you want the ad to run and how much you want
to spend on your campaign
